Sports in the Social Media

Since the beginning of the 2016 pro football season, 49’s quarterback Colin Kaepernick has taken a stand by taking a kneel. So far he refuses to stand up during the national anthem to signify a protest against  police brutality. More so, white cops killing black victims.

He does this not because he has disrespect for the Military or the United States of America, but does it to bring about a social moment to see our country progress.

The article above indicates what approach he is taking and how it reflects across the league. It is a movement that has brought great attention from other players along with invested fans.


Tomi Lahren, a journalist and a critic reveals her thoughts on the matter and does bring up some interesting points. There are a few sides to take for this matter, and she definitely  is against the movement and expresses that an in interesting way.
