The Los Angeles Clippers and the San Antonio Spurs had a battle for the ages this postseason; the Clippers were ranked 3rd and the Spurs 6th. Even thought they were the lower seed, the Spurs were seen as the favorite in this series because of their appearances in the last two postseasons; winning last years against the Miami Heat.
Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker are true veterans, each spending over a decade with the team. Fans continue to wonder how long these players will keep playing in search for another possible title.
The Clippers finally have surpassed a worthy opponent and look to make it past the 2nd round and on to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in many years. The youth on the Clippers has shown their worth with all-star players like Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, J.J. Redick and Chris Paul; the captain of this powerhouse team. They are now facing James Harden and the Houston Rockets in the 2nd round, looking to move on as soon as possible to rest before their next challenge. If the Golden State Warriors were to be their competition, it would be a matchup for the ages.
